Limitations of this Kiosk
This kiosk has limited access to approved websites and does not have a facility to upload or download electronic documents.
If your building project is for a new residential building or alteration, or if you are putting a new garage
or shed on your property, you will (in most cases) have contracted a Licenced Building Practioner (Builder)
to do the work for you. These contractors can complete and submit a building consent application on your behalf.
If you have a valid email address you can proceed to the Building Consent
system to sign up and start the application process. However, you will need
to complete the application (which will automatically be saved to your account)
on a computer, smartphone or tablet that does not have limited internet access.
If you do not:
- currently have an email address
- access to a computer, smartphone or tablet at home
- have a contractor for your building project
we recommend that you visit one of our district library
branches and use their public computers to create an email account and complete your
Building Consent application.
